ABOUT NLT
Neath Little Theatre was established in 1935 (the current building was opened in 1955) and NLT still aims to provide quality drama and learning opportunities to the people of Neath and surrounding areas. We are proud of our reputation for good quality grassroots theatre and have picked up many awards over the years. We have built up a loyal and supportive audience, many of whom come to see every show. We present three 'Major' plays a season (in October, March and May) and these are deliberately chosen to provide contrast and variety for audiences and members.
THURSDAY CLUB NIGHTS
As well as our three annual main ‘Major’ productions (in October, March and May) we put hold regular club nights on Thursday evenings at 7.30, designed to be learning experiences for our members. Everyone is welcome to come to these as audience members and give constructive feedback as part of the formative experience. We have a thriving Youth Workshop section for Junior Members.
We also welcome visiting companies, host acoustic music events, occasional comedy nights and social evenings. In addition, we endeavour to accommodate various community groups and support selected local charities. The content of club nights varies widely, depending on availability of members, other events at the theatre and time of year, but there is always something on and we strive to provide an interesting, varied programme of events.
