The legendary Martin Simpson performed to a very appreciative audience at NLT on 21st November. Thanks to Nigel Davies and Adrian Bamford (pictured with Martin in the photo) who arranged the evening and brought Martin to Neath. We hope to see Martin back at NLT one day soon! Keep an eye on the website for news of future music nights!

It was a pleasure to host Ysgol Maesydderwen's timely presentation of 'In their own words' on Thursday 12th November. This tied in with Remembrance Day as well as the current Centenary commemorations of World War One. The school received a grant from the Welsh Government's FWW Commemorative Grant Scheme which has funded research, time and the presentation itself.

The school's history club wore authentic WW1 uniforms to present their research into local involvement in the war through newspapers and letters. In addition, the pupils presented using accompanying visuals. The evening was very moving and a real insight into the lives of ordinary local men serving in the trenches.

Many thanks to the pupils, parents and teachers of Ysgol Maesydderwen for sharing this special performance with us.

We had a great night on Weds 28th October when Rose Betts performed at NLT. Definitely an artist to watch, Rose, Mel and Pete performed on our See How They Run! set to great acclaim. Good luck with the rest of the tour and we hope to see you back here soon. Thanks to Jamie, Lee, Andrew, Paul, Debra and Anthony for assisting with presenting the evening.

Thanks to all who came and supported our very successful October 2015 Major, See How They Run!

Fantastic audiences and a hard working team of NLT members on stage, backstage and front of house made it a week to remember!

Thanks to the organisers of our Macmillan Coffee Morning on 24th September and, of course, everyone who attended and gave so generously. We raised a fantastic £286! The theatre looked resplendent thanks to the decorations and many members gave home made cakes that were gratefully received. Well done to all involved and the money will go directly to be used in Neath and the local area. Diolch yn fawr!
